Persian Princes and Ancient RomansAncient Egypt. That’s how far back backgammon goes. I know, totally off topic, but I must say that backgammon games has almost as much skill as chess. Okay, fine, maybe more like Checkers, but still, it’s a lot of fun. A lot of my friends have been into this game, and they call it “Sheisbeits”, which is Hebrew for Backgammon.

Anyways, I have never really gotten into it, until I started checking out BGPrime.com for online backgammon . I’ll tell you, for some reason playing it online is a lot more fun than playing it in person. Maybe its because I don’t have to physically move the pieces myself, or maybe its because I can multi task on the web while I play. In any case, BGPrime.com is a lotta fun. If I get any better, I may sign up for the Backgammon Tournament, but I dunno, I’m not quite up to Tourney-level yet….

    Haha, a good laugh, I heard a great joke about persians the other day, but anyways great article and yes backgammon does contain a lot of skill.

    i am totally crap at backgammon but playing it online totally cracked me up.. it was much more exciting and fun when you “actually don’t have to move the pieces yourself”
    i wish i was good enough to sign up for their tournaments but well…

    Backgammon is great, but you should really play it on a board instead of on a computerscreen! It’s so much better on a real board!

    This one looks interesting. I am sure that it would need a lot of skills because as far as i know Persians always played and did things which needed high quality skills.

    Backgammon is by far my all time past time both online and offline. I have been playing it ever since i was a kid, yes believe me. But now i have been addicted to it online. I enjoy playing it in my office and playing it without being noticed by anyone itself is a great art to deal with. But i wanr you Backgammon could be very addictive if you start!

    Well this has to be one of my favorite indoor game, I have this game even in my cellphone.
    The best thing about this game is, it makes you think and you can do dirty things to keep the enemy’s pawn in your territory by not giving him any space to move. That is fun.

    I have never liked backgammon, It is kinda lazy game. I am a video game fan which is much faster and quick reflexes. Backgammon is kinda girly game.

    I am not a fan of indoor games in general and this one in particular. i prefer to exercise my muscles and reflexes in outdoor games. though i play online games but they are mainly fifa or CS.

    I am not really a fan of backgammon that’s why I never been good at playing it. Honestly I am not
    good at playing board games except the Game of the Generals if you consider it one.
